Who Are We

Lover | Connector | Performer

SNAPSHOT | Fire's time to shine!  As the peak masculine (yang) energy, the fire element is the connection to our passions, to our joy and happiness and to our heart. As one out of the traditional 5 elements, we look to fire energy for inspiration, expression, and fulfillment. It's the element that rules our ability to love ourselves and others and provides us the ability to feel.

Joy is the emotion that relates to the fire element, and when this element is off-balance, impatience, out of control/over-controlling or lack of purpose can dominate. But we can't let that burn us... Fire energy is the master of transformation and can come out the other side like a Phoenix -- beautifully reborn. With fire element virtues like compassion, intuition and communication, we have the power to awaken our spirit and rise from the ashes.

The Rituals are practiced as an holistic approach to fully alchemize our most beautiful selves, but to also act as a conduit to help us to embody the virtues expressed by each element. The Rituals section (below) gives details for how to incorporate fire element energy into multiple areas of your wellbeing.

SKINCARE + BEAUTY |  An un-balanced fire element can show up in the skin as redness, irritation/inflammation, excess oil, acne, sensitive, or broken capillaries. . Fire element rituals will help to soothe, decongest, purify, repair and protect the skin. SHOP earth element skin product below.

ELEMENTAL NUTRITION | Fire element foods balance our bodies with cooling and bitter flavors to reduce inflammation and restlessness. While it's best to stick to a mostly balanced diet, our bodies might need a boost of fire element ingestibles every now and again (especially during the active summer months). Here are some examples: almonds, sprouts, scallions, watermelon, melons, tomatoes, cucumber, mint, berries, citrus fruits, and any red or in-season fruits/veggies. Warming spices like ginger, turmeric, chili pepper, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg connect with the fire element and help increase circulation and metabolism, and don't forget to hydrate!

MOVEMENT | To get the most out of the fire element, choose activities that you love or enjoy. Dancing, swimming, walking, stretching, cardio exercises, and even playing games on the beach are among the exercises that help restore and balance fire element types.

AROMATHERAPY | Essential oils used for strengthening the fire element include uplifting oils like citrus (orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime), jasmine, ylang ylang, rose, geranium and lavender  which raise our spirits and stimulating oils like rosemary, peppermint, clove, ginger, cinnamon

MINDFULNESS | Heart strengthening open-chest movements and stretches, candle gazing meditations or sitting around a fire pit with friends, and experiencing life through with our senses (especially touch) will do wonders to balance + strengthen the fire element in us.

SPACES |  Balancing the fire element into our spaces adds passion, vitality and warmth. Create a well-lit space and try adding some pops of reds, oranges, and purples with paint, decor, candles or florals or using pointed or triangle patterns like chevron or herringbone

You spark with wildness + potential
